BCGE sponsors young Geneva athletes
Congratulations to the future champions! The Banque Cantonale de Genève is committed to promoting the canton’s young athletes. This summer, the Bank sponsored the BCGE Geneva Junior Tennis Championships for the second year running.
The Vessy Sports Centre hosted the BCGE Geneva Junior Tennis Championships from 15 to 23 August 2020, bringing together more than 300 juniors in singles and 160 in doubles matches.
These young players, aged between 10 and 18, competed against each other for 8 days in a total of 370 matches, with cups, medals and numerous prizes to be won.
On Sunday 23 August, the day of the finals, Marie Barbey-Chappuis, the head of the Safety and Sports Department, accompanied by Lionel Fromentoux, head of the BCGE Champel branch, had the pleasure of presenting the prizes to the winners and finalists of the tournament. This closing ceremony took place in the presence of numerous partners, parents, friends and children in a warm atmosphere while respecting the health regulations.
BCGE would like to congratulate all the participants on their excellent performances and thanks the Geneva Tennis Regional Association (ARGT) for this very successful event, synonymous with endurance, energy and fun.
