Publication of Annual and CSR Reports

Today, Banque Cantonale de Genève has released both its annual report and corporate social responsibility (CSR) report for the 2023 financial year. The French version of the reports is available in electronic form on the Bank’s website under Financial Reports. It can also be consulted in paper form at the Bank’s head office in Geneva at Quai de l’Ile 17.

These joined reports provide information on the financial results for the past year, as well as the institution's developments and achievements, major projects, governance and main policies, including ethical and environmental issues. The 2023 financial results are also presented and commented on in detail in this document. The Bank performed remarkably well over the year with net profit increasing by 31.4% to reach CHF 231.2 million, turnover rising significantly by 24% to total CHF 589.9 million, and the proposed dividend reflecting an 18% increase to come to CHF 6.50 (to be approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders on 23 April 2024).

The CSR report, which forms the second part of the document, gives an account of BCGE's social responsibility and sets out the state of affairs, as at 31 December 2023, of the integration of non-financial issues into the Bank's business model. It outlines the Bank's contributions to its stakeholders. This report has been prepared in accordance with the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
